If we had weather like that here, we'd use motorbikes as our main

love

I love my family. They mean, in all undiscribableness, everything to me.
Thank you.

another mention:

The baby blanket I am working on is for my baby :) Due end of May with a splash of sun through dewdrops.

ahh the warm sunshine, soon to kiss my face

I will soon be basking in the warm sunshine. Then we will know why my middle name is Rae.

These are a few pictures I took when I was in Barbados in August. They are a reminder of what will be by this time next week!

El Sueno means The Dream in Spanish. I am sure I will have dulces suenos while I am aboard the cruise ship by the end of this chilly week!

The tropics! Wonderful tropics!

ahhhh!

Hi all! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for ages! It's gotten a little busy with life and work, but I'm still here! I'll try and get a post up one of the evenings next week. I'll be in Regina for a trade show, so it'll be a long week, but it should be good.
Until then...

Regal Little Blanket

I am making a baby blanket.

It's velvet.

It's green. (picture the 60's green)

It's orange. (picture the 60's orange)

It's red. (picture the, well, you get it)

It's more orange.

It's got a square in the middle that has lots of beautiful colors, and of course the square is velvet too.

It has an embroidered design (machined, not hand).

And I will post a picture when it's complete!

And I will post a picture of the little baby's foot to post when I give the blanket :)

Love to all!
Entered November 12th, 2008:
Obviously the blanket is not done yet. The bottom picture has the green with orange embroidery on it, which will be the back of the blanket.
Will post the finished project when it's done!

Wonder

IN WONDER

So much wonder
Carved in your coral seas
So much wonder
Shaded by ancient trees
I consider all that your hands have made
Every newborn’s eyes, every new sunrise
No power can tame your presence
No light can match your radiance

LET ALL CREATION SING IN WONDER
EVERY SEA, EVERY CREATURE, EVERY STAR
YOU OPENED UP MY EYES TO WONDER
WHAT A VISION, WHAT A WONDER YOU ARE

Such a wonder
Ordering time and tide
Such a wonder
Bridging the great divide
I consider all that you had, all you gave
And all that you endured
From this rebel world
What a wondrous cross you chose to bear
What a wonder you would even care

LET ALL CREATION SING IN WONDER
EVERY SEA, EVERY CREATURE, EVERY STAR
YOU OPENED UP MY EYES TO WONDER
WHAT A VISION, WHAT A WONDER YOU ARE
LET EVERY ROCK CRY OUT
LET EVERY KNEE BOW DOWN
YOU OPENED UP MY HEART TO WONDER
WHAT LOVE, WHAT A WONDER YOU ARE

No power can tame your presence
No light can match your radiance
Such a wonder...Such a wonder...

LET ALL CREATION SING IN WONDER
EVERY SEA, EVERY CREATURE, EVERY STAR
YOU OPENED UP MY EYES TO WONDER
WHAT A VISION, WHAT A WONDER YOU ARE
LET EVERY ROCK CRY OUT
LET EVERY KNEE BOW DOWN
YOU OPENED UP MY HEART TO WONDER
WHAT LOVE, WHAT A WONDER YOU ARE

Fall(ing asleep)

I am going to go see if apples are on sale still, and if they are, I'm going to buy some more. They make good apple-sauce :)

And then I'm going to fall asleep...good time of year to be falling for anything...

last sunday

Sunday morning was great. Corie, Ian and I went out for breakfast at the corner coffee/bakery shop. It felt so good to be out in the early morning drinking hot drinks and eating yummy baking.

Then Corie and Ian proceeded to OSV for set up and practice. I stayed behind and did a little reading facing the window and of course occasionally looking up to people watch as they went by on the sidewalk outside.

Then it was time for me to go to OSV. It was misting out. Not enough liquid to drop, but definitely not dry. A crispness in the air made me walk a little faster than usual.

It was a beautiful day.

new October, new things to do

Good October day to everyone, with a high of +20 degrees out there, we're sitting 11 degrees below the current temperature in Barbados...ohh that would be nice to be there again!

So with this October day comes a new routine for a little while: BOWLING! We'll see if I'm allowed to walk down to where the pins are and take a picture-promise I won't go on that nice hardwood! We shall see. If I am successful, then I'll be posting them up some day.

In the mean time, I've made these...I'm a little nerdy aren't I?!?

Something new and exciting for me is this: At the trade shows with my job, I can make up my copper trees and sell them! 'Tis all right with my boss so, should be good :) They'll probably go over well at the Log & Cottage shows I think. And with the offer of custom work....hmmm

I need to go buy more copper wire!

beetles and fall

wow! 2 posts in one day! That's pretty crazy, and probably won't happen too often either! But on my way to the post office, I saw this huge beetle (actually not as big as I have seen in this little town, but big enough) it was about 1 1/4" long, so I whipped out my camera and took a little video.

Speaking of Beatles, I found this picture somewhere on this world-wide-web and thought it was pretty cool. Hope I'm not infringing on anyone's copyrights by using it!

And last of all, some random fall pictures taken this year.

This is a little copper tree I made for my sister and her family. She always sets up beautiful fall displays in her house.

Flexing the brain playing a game of Master Mind
It feels good to get home after a day of work in these things! It's always an interesting day when I decide to wear heels: that's the day someone shows up and wants a good demo of the firewood processor!

Have a happy Tuesday everyone!!!
